Looks back As software engineering undergraduates we have to study so many difficult subjects. But among them PPD is a very interesting, important and compulsory subject for us. In the other hand, we can say PPD is the most important subject among them. Because this is the subject that improve our personal qualities. Without personal qualities there is no any importance of studying anything. We started our PPD session from introducing ourselves in front of the class. After that we did so many team activities, games, presentations in every week. In first day it was very difficult to talk in front of the class. But at last we did that type of activities very happily. Because we felt we are getting improve day by day among these activities. Sarasi madam always got advices to communicate in English with others. Not only that, in the some PPD sessions we have to do presentations, speeches as well as dialogs. Though those activities we could improve as well as presentation skills day ...

OUTBOUND TRAINING Last Saturday,we went to the Navy Institute of Trincomalee Navy Camp for the Out Bound Training as a amazing ppd session.... Both first year and second year students participated for that 2 day training on 9th and 10th December.Sarasi madam divided us into 2 buses and then we started our journey.We enjoy a lot while traveling .There were so many Tamil friends in our bus.So we divided to as Tamil and Sinhala then sang sinhala and Tamil songs one by one.It was very funny...We had our breakfast on the way..then on the way there is a beautiful tank with beautiful environment “Kantale Tank”.there we stopped the bus and took a batch photo.We could reach the camp at about 10 a.m.  Then they gave places to stay us,one place to girls and another for boys.then we had to go to that place and be prepared with the bottom and shirt to do exercises as soon as possible.after readying we came to the naval institute and there the navy officer addressed us a...

Barter Puzzle.. In last PPD session we had to do a very interesting game named "Barter Puzzle".First of all,Sarasi madam divided us to three groups and named a group leaders for each groups ... Then madam gave three magazine papers to three leaders.Leaders showed that magazine paper to the members.After that madam said to leaders to cut it to 100 pieces.One of member in each group helped to do that for leaders. Then we had to  rebuild the magazine paper as before within 45 minutes.we started to set the pieces to make the pictures but some pieces were mixed from other teams. I f we wanted to that pieces from any group,we had to give them to another  pieces. While we were doing that task madam called us to and said to do the game"Tap and Walk".After that we come back and started to set pieces again.At the end we set so many pieces except 8-10 pieces. After 45 minutes madam said to stop that and sit. Then madam selected th...

    .... FUTURE GOALS.... In the first semester we had to make a poster about our future goals.Sarasi madam said to do a prasentation about it on last ppd session... First we had to paste that  poster on the wall in front of the class room.. We all finish our presentation one by one..Not only that,Sarasi madam asked some questions from us for the further details about our goals...Always she told us to speak loud & got advices to improve our presentation skills too... This is my poster about my future goals... We got very nice and very usefull experiences about presentation in front of the audience.. Not only that we had to categorize our goals and it was  very helpfull to think about our goals and select the best path and correct  it aging.....

                      ......Egg protector..... In the ppd session,we do so many team works.. Egg protector is one of a team work we do.On that day our miss Sarasi has divided us in to 3 groups and gave us to, five papers Pair of scissor A cellotape Then she gave the task of making a egg protector by using these material All teams made a beautiful egg protectors.we had to think about both safty of it and decorations of that protector. All team members talked each others,shaired ideas and selected a creative and the best way to do it. Finally miss Sarasi tald to threw the egg with our protector.there wasn,t only one egg crack. so,in that team work..we improve the knowladge of how to select a best desicion quickly how to communication each others   how to manage the time                  respect other ideas           ...

                        Lawa River and Standing On The Paper In PPD sessions usually we do so many team activities like games .So in last PPD session we played Lawa river game and standing on a paper. 1) LAWA RIVER  Ms Sarasi explain about the Java game and rules. This game should be played in a large indoor open space. Using the tape, two parallel lines are created about 10-15 metres apart. The space in between these two lines represents the river. This river is infested with man-eating piranhas so no player is can ‘touch’ the river. The players are split into 2 equal teams:  Both teams start together on one side of the river. The teams are given out equal pieces of cardboard (about 6-7 each). When the round starts, each team must use these cardboard pieces to get across the river. PPD is the short form of Personal Progress Development Personal Progress development Today the world is very complicated but everyone trying to make there own lives very perfect.But without personal progress development  it is may be difficult. Personal progress helps you develop values that prepare you and mold your character so that you can fulfill your divine potential. So, I think PPD is most valuable and important lessons for all. We have PPD session in university,                  among our PPD lessons,even our 1st day of PPD session,we have to introduce our selves in front of the class.
