                       Lawa River and Standing On The Paper

In PPD sessions usually we do so many team activities like games .So in last PPD session we played Lawa river game and standing on a paper.

1)LAWA RIVER

 Ms Sarasi explain about the Java game and rules.

1. This game should be played in a large indoor open space.
2. Using the tape, two parallel lines are created about 10-15 metres apart. The space in between these two lines represents the river.
3. This river is infested with man-eating piranhas so no player is can ‘touch’ the river.
4. The players are split into 2 equal teams:  Both teams start together on one side of the river.
5. The teams are given out equal pieces of cardboard (about 6-7 each).
6. When the round starts, each team must use these cardboard pieces to get across the river. The cardboard pieces can be placed on the river as stepping stones and can be moved around.
7. The team must therefore share the cardboard pieces and attempt to get the whole team across to the other side of the river.
8. If anyone makes contact with the river (the floor space between the two tape), then he/she is considered eaten up and has to go back to the starting point.
9. The team that gets its team members across in the fastest time wins.

The main activity is to get al͢͢͢͢͢͢͢͢͢l team members safely across the lava river without touch the river.Team members have got

• 5 minute to brief and set up
• 15 minutes to achieve outcome
• 5 minutes to review and debrief

2)STANDING ON THE PAPER

Ms.Sarasi divided us to groups and gave us a paper.Then told us to stand all members together on that paper.our all teams could do that properly.

Then she told us to fold that paper to half and stand all on that paper.we did that,but some teams couldn't do that.

Again she told us to fold the paper to another half and do that task again.But any team couldn't do that .

From that team works we learnt so many things,

• Communication

As this is a team game,we have share ideas of all members and hear another ideas.However we have to communicate each others.So this game improve our communication skills.

• Cooperation

• Leadership

Among team members can have so many ideas to win that game. in a team some suitable one have selected as a  team leader.a team leader has so many responsibilities.hearing other ideas,take relevant best decision.as well as team leaders ensure that team morale remains high and that workers are motivated to perform well. ...

• Problem Solving

If we want to win ,we have to think the best way to do it .so It is improve the ability of problem solving.
